While we are no longer able to officially support the connectivity of these older models with affected Windows 10 computers, please find the section below regarding your model for further workaround options that may help re-establish a successful connection with your Silhouette machine. As new technology emerges, older equipment can no longer be updated and companies eventually have to decide to stop supporting older models.īelow is Silhouette’s statement from their website:ĭue to recent Microsoft updates for select Windows 10 computers, some older Silhouette cutting machine models may be unable to connect successfully via USB. Note that this is not an issue that Silhouette America covers further than what you see on their website as they no longer officially support the older machines, which is inevitable with technology. If you have a Cameo 1 or Cameo SD, you can use your machine with an SD card. The older Silhouette machines work fine with older versions of Windows 10.
If this doesn’t work, you can purchase a USB 2 hub and connect your Silhouette machine (and any other USB devices) through this hub.Īnother option is to avoid installing the Windows update. Most computers have multiple USB ports and one of your ports might be a USB 2 port.
